Brand: New Balance
Model: New Balance 801
Key Features: The original 1998 gray, yellow and navy colorway is making a comeback, along with the classic ’90s shape. The model combines function with style, and is made for running and hiking.
Release Date: November 10 at 11am EST
Editor’s Notes: The original 1998 New Balance 801 was marketed as all-terrain and more than lived up to that claim, being one of the first sneaker to combine running and trail elements in one silhouette. The 801 was a surprise hit with sneakerheads in New York, but rose to fame when worn on the cover of SLAM magazine in 1999 by New Jersey Nets point guard, Stephon Marbury. Aside from a brief re-release in 2014, this particular colorway has been kept in the vault for 20 years.
