Model: M2K Tekno
Key Features: The shoe features a “summit white” mixed-material upper with “team orange,” “mountain blue,” and black accents throughout, all of which sits atop a white and black super chunky sole.
Release Date: August 16
Editor’s Notes: After the release of its M2K Tekno in “summit white,” “team orange,” and “mountain blue” for women, Nike has dropped the sneaker in men’s sizing. When we got our first look at the women’s kick, it was unofficially dubbed the “John Elliott” colorway after debuting on the designer’s runway in February. However, it is now dubbed “Techno Future” on Nike’s website.
The shoe’s design draws inspiration from the original 2002 Air Monarch, playing with the sneaker’s chunky sole and thick heel for a now ubiquitous “dad shoe” look. As well as the colorway’s three main hues, there is additional black detailing throughout, including on one of two mini Swooshes, the midsole, heel tab, and tongue.
