Virgil changed the game in so many respects, but few more noticeably than in the footwear-collaboration arena. Dropping collaborations season after season, and sometimes multiple times per season, he devised the formula for building hype while developing a completely unique design language at the same time. The latest in the long line of collaborations is the Nike x Off-White™ Air Force 1 Mid which drops on June 23 but you can secure your pair early at StockX.

In celebration of the Air Force 1’s 40th birthday, Off-White™ takes another shot at the iconic silhouette. Landing in two colorways, the black and white Air Force 1s are almost unrecognizable from their original form thanks to a host of utility-leaning attachments that are unequivocally Off-White™.

Uppers made from lightweight mesh are given personality by a subtle woodgrain effect. This effect nods to the outdoors, a direction echoed by the spiked outsoles. The bold outsoles are really the defining feature of the design, embodying Nike ISPA’s philosophy of “Improvise. Scavenge. Protect. Adapt.”

In typical style, the Nike x Off-White™ Air Force 1 Mid comes with two overlaying sets of laces. On top of the classic cotton laces is a secondary set in a contrasting color that loops through Flywire cables for a structural finish.

How much does the Nike x Off-White™ Air Force 1 Mid cost?

The Nike x Off-White™ Air Force 1 Mid retails for a price of $185 but, if you’re looking to bag your pair from StockX, you’ll be paying an average 36-percent premium. Currently, according to StockX market data, the black pair resells for an average price of $295 while the white pair is going for $298.
