Editor’s Notes: Overkill and New Balance have teamed up for a collaboration that celebrates the unique character of the retailer’s home city, Berlin. The pack of two shoes, an M1500 and the updated M1530, which was released to celebrate the silhouette’s 30th anniversary, have been designed to represent Berlin’s “two faces” when it comes to clubbing.
According to Overkill, there are party goers that venture out to world-famous clubs dressed head to toe in black outfits, while there are also those that visit traditional raves such as Love Parade or Gay Pride, dressed in a wide array of colors. The M1500 is colorful and bold, and the M1530 is triple black.
The pack of sneakers drops June 22, coinciding with pride month and is an homage to the multi-faceted Berlin electro culture. Check out shots of the sneaker above and below.
