Key Features: The Army trainer is based on the original German Army Trainer (GAT) that has been popularized by the likes of Maison Margiela. It is rendered in luxurious full-grain leather and features a ’70s-inspired retro tongue.

The Twinstrike ADV has a chunky, deconstructed mixed material upper in all white that sits atop a colorful EVA-foam midsole and rubber outsole. adidas branding is seen on the tongue.

Release Date: September 28

Price: Both sneakers cost $150

Buy: adidas and Oyster Holdings

Editor’s Notes: After Oyster Holdings’ creative director Woodie White took to Instagram to share what was assumed to be an upcoming collaboration between his label and adidas Originals, the latter has now confirmed that the two brands will be teaming up for FW18.

Consisting of two sneaker silhouettes and a range of attire, the Oyster Holdings x adidas capsule is made with the modern traveler in mind. The apparel is inspired by the shirts worn by soccer referees, refined and elevated in true Oyster Holdings style.

The two sneakers are all-white save for a few hits of color on the Twinstrike ADV and fall in line with Oyster Holding’s minimalist design language.

The Twinstrike ADV is a silhouette that was revamped in late 2017 and has been worked on by the likes of KITH and Nonnative in the past. The Army sneaker is based on the iconic German Army Trainer (GAT) and is as classic as they come.

Both sneakers, as well as the apparel (more details TBC), will be available starting September 28.
