Over the past few months, Pharrell Williams has been teasing a potentially huge collaboration with adidas on a pair of NMDs. The silhouette has become one of the most popular shoes of the year, and the ones Pharrell was spotted wearing featured ostentatious branding down the tongue area, further adding to its hype value.
Today, we can finally announce that the first drop from what has been named the "Human Race" collection, will drop on July 22. The first pair to launch will be the yellow pair seen above, but as Pharrell has previewed the shoe in yellow, green, red, burgundy, orange and mint over at his Instagram account, we can expect more colorways to come in the near future.
This unisex model features a newly designed lace system, which goes through the cage of the stabilizer to create a moccasin type of feel, giving support as well as freedom right where it is needed. A white boost midsole meets a breathable and flexible yellow Primeknit upper with bold ‘Human Race’ branding.
On July 22, European retailers, including Sneakersnstuff, have this pair scheduled to release, while stateside the shoes will be stocked at the New York BBC Flagship Store, KITH and others.
The pair also got together last month for this palm tree-inspired Billionaire Boys Club collab.
