New York Fashion Week kicks off this week, and Ronnie Fieg has something special in-store for Thursday, September 7.

Following up on his Kithland show from one year ago - which included 90 styled looks, and a handful of collaborations - Fieg now seems primed to launch Kith Sport, which we can presume is a new performance-oriented sub-brand of Kith. Whatever the native New Yorker is cooking up, it must be big, as Fieg made a point of noting on Instagram that he "Waited [his] entire life for this opportunity."

Fieg also took the opportunity to unveil the Air Maestro II High sneaker in a purple colorway, which may or may not be an official collaboration with Nike Basketball and Scottie Pippen. Kith provided a bit of background by noting the shoe is "A completely reworked upper of my own design paired with the tooling and inspiration off the original Maestro II, worn by Pippen before he received his first signature shoe."

Stay posted as more information arrives later this week.
