CLOT

Summer is nearly over but sacai's collaborative dominance is only just beginning. sacai's making the most of its new Nike LDWaffle collaboration with CLOT to host a series of touring pop-ups in the vein of the "Hello sacai" series

Enter CLOTsacaiTHEHOME, a trio of pop-ups poised to spread the good word of this expansive joint effort, which ranges from co-branded apparel to home goods to the covetable kicks at the core of it all. The spaces will host weekly drops over the course of about a month, serving up exclusive cups, doormats, slippers, socks, pillows, and T-shirts laden with "sacai / CLOT thing," a cheeky play on words that references sacai's hybrid Nikes.

"The concept for CLOTsacaiTHEHOME is just a representation of Chitose’s and my personal preferences for the way we live and how that it looks. Chitose and I don't share the same tastes in certain things but we have a kind of connectivity somehow and it's an interesting dynamic," CLOT founder Edison said. "I think that’s how we get along because we intrigue each other in ways that seem alien. Our similarities and qualities, passion and creativity are linear, but in no way are they alike in how we deliver or think."

Designed with the intent of sharing the designers' homes with fans, each CLOTsacaiTHEHOME space features cozy couches, stylish furnishings, and more personal touches, ranging from giant BE@RBRICK figures to logoed-up photobooths and Chen's own Tom Sachs chair.

"Under the concept of remixing the LDWaffle, we created the design with CLOT's idea behind fabrics and coloring in mind," said sacai founder Chitose Abe. "Both CLOT and sacai have done collaborations with Nike in the past, so the process was very smooth."

That sense of ease is further manifested by the cozy CLOTsacaiTHEHOME spaces. Come in, make yourself comfortable, won't you have a cup of tea in your CLOT x sacai mug?
