Who: Travis Scott
The outfit he’s wearing: Scott pairs a classic Cactus Jack flannel shirt with a heavy chain, a plain white tee, and a pair of billowing beige cargo pants.
Location: Los Angeles, California
Editor's notes: Much like the plum-purple ’fit that Kanye was getting off at Sunday Service last weekend, Scott's loose cargo pants offer respite to the ubiquitous skinny jean that's dominated the men's fashion landscape over the past few years.
Of course, the skinny leg has its place in the world, and when Hedi Slimane first put his signature, narrow tailoring on the Dior Homme runway in 2005, it was a highly subversive move. Who would have guessed that the gently gender non-conforming style would become as mainstream as it eventually did, with hip hop stars and soccer players alike?
In any case, men's trousers are due some diversity and we applaud Travis, Kanye, and Bloody Osiris for leading the way (Travis, you may also recall, has been on the leather trouser wave of late).
Here, Travis' trouser line breaks several times going down the leg, generating a far more relaxed silhouette, and if you're going to replicate the look at home, take note of La Flame's Nike Air Jordan 4s which stabilize the amorphous lines of the fabric.
