Those ambitious sneaker cleaning experts over at Crep Protect have attempted to send the adidas Originals YEEZY Boost 350 V2 to Jupiter — but the insane idea fell foul to a technical issue while still inside the Earth's atmosphere.

Crep Protect (Crep is a London slang term for sneaker, FYI) launched the project as a part of its new frontiers program to test the effectiveness of its protection spray. While ETs on Jupiter have been left disappointed and YEEZY-less, we're left with this incredible footage of the shoe hovering above Earth.

The out-of-this-world sneaker (sorry) made its way up to an altitude of 35,000m at a speed of 10mph, before rocketing back down to the English countryside at 200mph following a technical issue.

It was Crep Protect's third attempt to send a YEEZY into space, after the first two pairs vanished without GPS signal. If you fancy looking for them, the only information given was that the last known location was the UK. It shouldn't be too hard, then.

Watch the video above, then head over to Crep Protect to cop the finest sneaker cleaning products on Earth.

After you've finished, here are the 14 best sneakers releasing this weekend and where to buy them.
