Today, adidas Consortium revealed their plans of a comprehensive year-long tour, visiting a selection of the planet’s most influential sneaker retailers. Bolstering this new initiative, the iconic German sportswear imprint has partnered with Brooklyn-based illustrator Jeremyville to create a series of animated visuals.
While adidas is keeping most of the details under wraps so far, our guess is that a number of collaborations are likely on the burner, including adidas’ well-known classics as well as more modern, technical styles. The only clues adidas has provided so far point to the involvement of “a true Consortium basketball innovator” and “some surprise acquaintances.” A tour schedule has also been divulged, outlining all the stops that will be made over 2016.
In January, the exhaustive journey starts at KITH in New York, before moving to San Francisco’s Nice Kicks. From there, the journey heads to Solebox in Berlin, Slam Jam in Milan, and Footpatrol in London. Further stops include JUICE in Hong Kong, Starcow in Paris, Seoul’s Kasina, UNDFTD in Los Angeles, mita in Tokyo, Sneakersnstuff in Stockholm and finally the last stop at Miami’s Shoe Gallery.
