What You’re Saying: While adidas’ 4D technology has fallen somewhat flat since its hugely-hyped introduction several years back, the sneaker community is really feeling this colorway, as evidenced by the comments under the head of adidas AEC, Till Jagla’s Instagram post. Most people are feeling the clean colorway, which allows the pops of pink and green stand out against the more muted Primeknit upper.

What We’re Saying: This second generation adidas 4D Runner is dubbed “AEC,” which stands for adidas Energy Concepts, a team led by Till Jagla that works on some of the most hyped releases from the Three Stripes. Think NikeLab. The AEC’s signature color is the pink seen on the sneaker’s heel and extra set of laces.

Much like the original 4D sneakers that were so popular in late 2017 and early 2018, this 4D Runner AEC keeps things incredibly simple, pairing a PrimeKnit upper with 4D tooling and allowing the futuristic aesthetic of the shoe to do the talking.
