In celebration of bringing Color BOOST to the NMD for the first time ever, adidas is dropping a limited edition "Pitch Black" pair of the NMD_R1 Primeknit.

The NMD_R1 Primeknit "Pitch Black" features the brand's patented knit upper construction, complete with a murdered-out BOOST sole unit underneath. Only 500 pairs of the celebratory sneaker have been produced, as they are releasing strictly to "family and friends."

Select pairs of the "Pitch Black" NMDs will arrive packaged in an exclusive "Urban Utility Kit," a Rimowa case that features blacked-out accessories from other world-class brands such as Porter, Oral-B, SIGG and (multee)project.

Worried that you don't qualify as "friends and family" for this special release? No problem. adidas wants you too to have a chance to land the "Pitch Black" NMD_R1 Primeknit, so 100 pairs are being set aside for a Snapchat competition that will take place July 30.

Competition Details:

- Story will go live on Snapchat (@adidasOriginals) at 12 p.m. EST Saturday, July 30. The contest will be live for 24 hours.

- The snap story will reveal a series of hidden numbers, once complete, users can piece the numbers together and text the final phone number and await next steps.

- 100 entrants will be selected at random once the Snapchat story expires, and will receive a pair of the NMD_R1 PK “Pitch Black.”

Best of luck!
