Key Features: The sneaker features an upper primarily constructed with durable suede, with black three stripe branding on the model we’ve seen standing in stark contrast to a red/dark orange colorway. A Boost midsole is almost entirely enclosed in a semi-translucent rubber cup, with adidas branding present on the heel and tongue.
Release Date: February 7
Editor’s Notes: adidas Skateboarding has tapped Thrasher Magazine’s 2018 Skater of the Year winner Tyshawn Jones for the latest iteration of its 3ST footwear line. Jones provided critical rider feedback and design inspiration for the brand new 3ST.004. The sneaker blends archival heritage and modern-day performance.
The translucent outsole is inspired by the foxing on the 1983 Kegler Super OG and has been paired with a Boost midsole. The upper is designed for stability, a snug fit, and durability all while providing optimized board feel and control.
“Considering that Tyshawn Jones was the muse for the project, the shoe needs to not only perform but look iconic and stand out,” says adidas senior footwear designer Scott Johnston. “The shoe incorporates classic adidas aesthetics and modern design lines to keep you looking fly in the streets.”
The kicks are set to drop in three colorways worldwide on February 7 and will retail for $120.
