After a first initial look the other day, we can today unveil the much-anticipated collaboration between German sneaker store Afew and ASICS on the popular GEL-Lyte III runner. The GEL-Lyte III “Koi” features a “Koi Camo” outsole that symbolizes the Koi, which was the original inspiration behind the store's first handmade GEL-Lyte III from 2012. On the heel of the sneaker you find two patches - one reading “AFEW” and the other one reading “家族” (family). The sock liners feature pictures of the first Japan Day Event and the production of the handmade GEL-Lyte III from 2012. To pay homage to the quality of Japanese craftsmanship, the Afew x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Koi” also features some wooden eyelets and premium brown leather accents on the heel. The Afew x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Koi” is part of this year’s 25th Anniversary GEL-Lyte III Collection and will be released on May 30 at Afew. Stay tuned to the project here.

Also included in the ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 25th Anniversary Collection are collaborations with Concepts, mita sneakers and Packer Shoes.
