Timberland and Foot Locker's ‘Legends Club’ series continues with the latest story from hip-hop legend Nas portraying his early days in the studio.

The video coincides with the release of the new Rose Champagne 6-inch boot available exclusively via Foot Locker. The release sees Timberland’s classic 6-inch revamped with mauve waterproof nubuck and a contrasting port colored collar. As sturdy as ever, the updated classic is prepared for whatever the streets throw at it this winter.

In Volume X, we find out that luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. For Nas in his younger years, this meant studying music, playing the trumpet and even intently reading the dictionary so that when the right opportunity presented itself, he would be prepared. In the latest ‘Legends Club’ video, he recalls the day opportunity came knocking.

The animated short depicts Nas' first studio session at just 17 years old when he met an upcoming producer to record in Queens, New York. The icon started out spitting bars during other artists’ studio time while they weren’t in the booth, but his talent didn’t go unnoticed for long and he was soon given a 16 bar verse on a track that would start his career. The video ends with the moral of his tale, “Being the right guy, with the right rhyme, in the right place, at the right time, that made me who I became.”

Watch the video above for the full story and cop the luscious new design at Foot Locker very soon for $190. Find out more about the ‘Legends Club’ at footlocker.com/legendsclub.
