Editor's Notes: Two superstars, one sneaker. adidas has tapped Hello Kitty to appear on one of its signature silhouettes, the — you guessed it — Superstar.

Fashion's favorite feline is so iconic that her ears and signature red bow are all that appear on the shoe. (It's very much giving "I don't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day.") Other Kitty-approved touches include red and pink laces, polka dot paneling at the heel, and polka-dotted outsoles.

The Sanrio character has undergone something of a style renaissance in recent months. In May, Nike reissued Hiroshi Fujiwara and Steven Smith's Hello Kitty Air Prestos, originally created to celebrate the cartoon's 30th anniversary in 2004.

And earlier in August, Scandi label Soulland featured the celebrity cat in its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, unveiled at Copenhagen Fashion Week. That wasn't the first time Hello Kitty went high fashion — don't forget Hello Kitty x Blumarine, an SSENSE-exclusive capsule collection, and Hello Kitty x Balenciaga.

The anthropomorphized cat has gotten her fair share of love lately, but there's no such thing as too much when it comes to an impeccably accessorized feline.
