Editor's Notes: What is a modern-day Hip-Hop rollout without a seemingly never-ending series of delays, last-minute release date switcharoos, and more teases – before you've even received the original product?

The key culprits; usual suspects? Ye and Drake. After the year-long stretch of back and forths concerning when Certified Lover Boy would actually make its way to streaming platforms, it should come as no surprise that NOCTA's debut sneaker's release would come with the same shroud of mystery.

As is typical of the "Life is Good" rapper, Instagram (and the odd music video) has served as the staging ground for the sneaker's slow, steady rollout.

Our first official look at the sneaker in its inaugural "Triple White" rendering came back in August 2021, with the promise of a fall release that never materialized.

Despite the continued wait and the shoe's resurgence across the web via sneaker aficionados and friends of the star, Drizzy has continued teasing additional colorways – including a blacked-out pair which served as the focal point of the sneakers first visual campaign (which has now been confirmed to be part of the first official release), as well as a black and yellow block-colored pair via IG.

For the debut pairs, expect the remastered take on the Air Terra Humara to feature premium pebbled leather, 3m accents, and G-Tek traction technology. With the first drop coming complete with "Triple Black" and "Triple White" pairs, the head-to-toe NOCTA uniform is officially on its way.

It's safe to assume the lead time on any additional pairs could extend into the latter end of the year. At least, the wait is almost over to secure a pair of tonal kicks worthy of giving your Air Force 1s some time out – if the Hot Step is your cup of tea, of course.

Be on the look-out for even more NOCTA in the near future – because it's not all about kicks, you know.
