In honor of the 100th anniversary of the COPA America, which is currently taking place in the United States, Packer Shoes has joined forces with Umbro for a celebratory capsule. The collection draws inspiration from this year's host country, as it is the first time that the soccer tournament has been held on American soil. The limited edition delivery is comprised of one footwear release and three apparel styles.
First up, we see the Packer x Umbro Linesman Trainer “COPA 100.” The street-ready shoe is filled with classic soccer boot DNA pulled from the iconic Speciali model. Each sneaker has been handmade in Portugal from premium full-grain leather and buttery suede, combined with a made in Italy XL EXTRALIGHT outsole unit. The predominantly black pair features red and blue accents at the heel, in addition to debossed stars on the tongue flaps and 13 perforated stripes along the lateral sides.
Limited to 30 pairs worldwide, the Packer x Umbro Linesman Trainer "COPA 100" ($175 USD) comes with a commemorative dust bag.
To complement the footwear, Packer and Umbro also present two USA soccer-inspired jerseys ($80 USD), optioned in white and red. The jerseys feature the number 10, which is revered in soccer culture and has historically been worn by some of the world’s greatest players.
In addition to the jerseys, a black cotton polo ($50 USD) featuring a circle patch on the chest and Packer branding on the arm, rounds out the collaborative capsule.
The entire Packer x Umbro "COPA 100" collection is releasing on Saturday in-store at Packer and online.
Just last month, Packer teamed up with Saucony to release an exclusive "Olive Suede" Shadow 6000.
