Editor’s Notes: Slam Jam is back with a new Nike collaboration, this time working on one of the year's most popular silhouettes in the Dunk. The Milan retailer presents two colorways of the iconic sneaker, here offered in "Light Gray" as well as "Black."

Slam Jam owner Luca Benini has long been a fan of the Dunk. “I remember one of my first contacts with the Dunk happened thanks to the Air Jordan I when they came out in 1985. I then discovered its inspirational role,” he said.

“The Dunk had a strong impact for sure, acting as one of those elements helping global connections to shape and develop the now-called street culture,” Benini continued.

The "Light Gray" and "Black" Dunks draw inspiration from the silhouette's history and the experimental design process over the years by both Nike and collaborators. Slam Jam continues to push the boundaries for the sneaker, implementing upside-down branding on the tongue tag, which harkens back to the retailer's upside-down Swoosh Blazer collab.

“This Dunk expresses the values of simplicity and the attention to innovative details, which alongside our rebel attitude, define the Slam Jam DNA,” said Benini.

The Slam Jam x Nike Dunk released first in "Light Gray" on October 3, followed by the "Black" iteration on October 30.
