A hallmark of the fashion shows of today are the enormous flocks of extravagantly dressed citizens hoping to make it into a roundup of street style. Particularly amusing among this bunch are the so-called "peacocks," men who dress in the fashion of the dandies of old. This sect of street-style obsessives is ridiculed perfectly in "The Life of Pitti Peacocks," a mini-mockumentary that is truly lol-worthy.
Filmed outside the Pitti Uomo trade show in Florence, the short film is a collage of the most flamboyantly dressed men who made an appearance. It cleverly reproduces the aesthetic and tone of a nature series like Planet Earth, examining each of these men as if they were a true peacock. This means picking apart their mating habits, their means of attracting attention, and how they behave in their natural habitat.
Watch the mockumentary in full above, but we recommend you do it in a place where you’re allowed to laugh freely.
