As a follow-up to previous flash sale events in Seoul and Los Angeles, Vetements hosted a one-day pop-up event at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Cruise Terminal yesterday, offering a new selection of tongue-in-cheek accessories and clothing.
Inspired by the brand’s re-location from Paris to the Swiss city of Zürich, the new pop-up featured a range of Alpine tourist memorabilia including mugs (approx. $80 USD), fridge magnets (approx. $25 USD) and souvenir dishes, taking the concept from their colette pop-up (which also included mugs and ridiculous accessories like sleeping masks) even further. DHL was also an official partner for the event, providing DHL vans and even staff to lend a hand. Collaborative items were on hand in limited amounts, ranging from co-branded Umbro, Tommy Hilfiger and DHL apparel to Vetements’ latest sock-sneaker alongside Reebok. Select installations were also provided by Ladies’ Market on Tung Choi Street, the Hong Kong street market where haggling is encouraged.

Now, here’s a breakdown of what Vetements’ obscure German references actually mean.
