If you needed any more convincing that the Vetements hype is utterly ridiculous these days, look no further than Vetememes, the Vetements parody brand started by enterprising Grailed staff member Davil Tran. At just two weeks young, the brand has produced a set of bootleg raincoats mimicking those of Demna Gvasalia's much-hyped Parisian collective, which, at $59, cost a fraction of the original.

Vetements' garments have been inescapable these past few seasons, cropping up time and again in street style reports from all over the globe. It's fitting that a label that's so fond of parody designs has ended up being satirized itself. In its short history, Vetements has produced pieces featuring knock-off DHL and Champion graphics, alongside imagery appropriated from Titanic and standard-issue security gear.

Davil Tran's homage/bootleg project has only revealed one product as of yet - a one-size-fits-all raincoat that's available for pre-order now via Vetememes' website. We'll keep you posted if the brand produces any more gear, of course.
