In honour of the 5th Anniversary of Woei ‘Patta’s et Pret a Porter’, Woei and Asics have come together to take on the Gel Lyte III, the most popular sneaker in the Asics lifestyle range.

To spice things up a little bit, they did some remodelling on the shoe, replacing the standard upper eyelets with metal trail hooks, adding to the feel of the great European outdoors. Finishing touches include zig-zag stitching on the toebox, and a little pop of 3M here and there, to add something special to this all new color palette.

Out of appreciation for their support, especially on purchasing this limited iconic edition, Woei and Asics will give the fans a unique experience by welcoming them on the 23rd of June into a ‘one day only’ outdoor-inspired store takeover. The first 100 customers in-line will also be rewarded with a special pack that includes a tee and a customised Woei shoebox. On the 30th of June the Asics x Woei project will drop at selected retailers throughout Europe. The global release will be on the 7th of July 2012.

Detailed images of the sneaker follow after the jump.
