As the figurative curtains close on 2019, we indulge in that favorite publication pastime of looking back on what went down over the past 12 months. Steering clear of melancholy, our retrospection sticks to the wardrobe — and this time, sneakers. YEEZY had another major year this year, with enough Kanye West and adidas joint-effort sneakers to fill a Wyoming ranch dropping. And while it’s easy to get lost among the year’s YEEZY releases, we’ve selected 10 of the highlight drops, all of which can still be shopped at resale platform GOAT.
We’ve kicked off our highlight YEEZY drops of 2019 list with the Yeezy Boost 700 “Azael,” which just dropped. Scroll on to see which nine other sneakers are joining the final YEEZY release of the year.
Check and cop our 10 YEEZY 2019 highlights below.
Yeezy Boost 700 V3 “Azael”
Yep, barring any last-minute surprises, the last YEEZY release of the year! A 700 in name, but not really by nature, the “Azael” takes on a more future-looking design in comparison to the silhouette’s previous editions. A perfect piece for stepping into 2020 with.
Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Yeezreel Non-Reflective”
Another very recent release, and this time it’s a loud one. Packing glow-in-the-dark sole and reflective laces, the “Yeezreel” goes hard on the visibility front.
Yeezy 500 High “Slate”
The first time a Kanye-designed sneaker underwent a re-release with a new height, this piece takes the Yeezy 500 silhouette higher through an extended cow suede upper. The sneaker’s adiPRENE+ cushioning and rubber outsole make it a comfy one, too.
Yeezy Boost 380 “Alien”
Another first for 2019, the “Alien” drop marked the very first 380 silhouette sneaker, which could eventually replace the 350 line. Complete with a previously-unseen perforated Primeknit upper that encourages airflow, the “Alien” breathes metaphorical and physical new life into YEEZY.
Yeezy 500 “Stone”
Coming in an earth-hued colorway that YEEZY is well known for, the 500 “Stone” was released in November. The sneaker saw much of the 500 customary elements stay in place, except for the mesh, which is replaced with lycra here.
Yeezy 500 “Soft Vision”
Fans of the 500’s mesh components fear not. The “Soft Vision” 500, also released in November, stayed true to the silhouette.
Yeezy Boost 700 “Teal Blue”
Aside from the 350 V2, the Boost 700 is a YEEZY silhouette that got lot a lot of love from ‘Ye and the Three Stripes in 2019. With a similar palette to other 700 sneakers, this piece centers on subdued greys, blues, and greens.
Yeezy Boost 700 V2 “Hospital Blue”
As above, more 2019 love for the 700 here. On a slightly different course, though, the V2 edition features reflective detailing and blue suede overlays.
Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Citrin Reflective”
Released in September, the “Citrin Reflective” is a familiar one for all YEEZY fans, in terms of both aesthetics and technology. Comes with cushioning BOOST™ technology and the signature translucent strip.
Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Cloud White Reflective”
Like the shoe above, a true staple in the YEEZY rotation.
