Business of Fashion picked Vetements’ Demna Gvasalia to be the latest cover star of its print edition, which happens to carry the Illuminati-esque title of “The New World Order.”
The cover was snapped by Willy Vanderperre and shows a brooding Gvasalia posing with the sort of expression usually seen in Rembrandt paintings. Inside the magazine you’ll find an interview with the Balenciaga creative director conducted by BoF founder and editor-in-chief, Imran Amed.
The whole issue focuses in on the “broken” fashion system, and in the aforementioned interview, Vetements’ leading light talks a bit about what he’s going to try to do to fix it. Other notable names from the fashion industry that appear in the issue include Paul Smith, Tim Blanks, Erdem Moralioglu and Susanna Lau, all of whom give their thoughts on what’s wrong with the industry and what can be done to make it better; as well as the technologies, events and markets that will shape the scene in 2016.
Business of Fashion‘s “The New World Order” issue goes on pre-sale January 27 on shop.businessoffashion.com, and will hit select retailers such as colette in Paris and London’s Goodhood on February 8.
