Our Q&A with Filling Pieces founder Guillaume Philibert last month was revealing in how it flagged up the forward-thinking ethos of the brand, and now the Amsterdam footwear label continues to make strides with its first ever women’s sneaker collection.
Although a unisex brand, Filling Pieces stated in a press release that the new range “captured the essence of the powerful females in our lives, creating footwear that was inherently feminine yet retained our signature design elements like the Filling Pieces tongue and heel padding.” As always, the collection bridges the gap between streetwear and luxury fashion; coalescing practical velcro straps and custom-made sole units with details like opulent uppers made from Nappa leather and Italian suede. Additional touches include rose gold-colored lace tips and premium hardware.
Last month, Highsnobiety also carried out a shoot for Filling Pieces’ much-vaunted Inner Circle range. Check out the photos here.
