Highsnobiety Under the Radar alumnus DELADA is back for FW17 with only its second-ever collection. Here, the brand looks to bygone Soviet times for inspiration and comes up with something totally unique.

The range was inspired by nostalgic memories of the designer’s childhood in Russia and the family’s traditional trunk, or “Babushkin Sunduk”. In old Russian households, the trunk would be filled with a range of family heirlooms, bric-a-brac, and clothes — the latter of which is reflected in the fashions here.

The collection is labeled men’s but features plenty of unisex pieces, including oversized shirts; flared trousers; and jewel-toned velvet biker jackets. Further highlighting the expert craftsmanship is the geometric designs, which have been created from a selection of torn apart shirts and blazers.

Look out for DELADA’s second drop coming to Machine-A sometime in February. Check out additional stockists at the brand website.
