Jordan Brand's December issues keep coming, and check out the pair in this one. Released on December 27, the new Air Jordan 1 silhouette is inspired by a cover of iconic US sports magazine "Sports Illustrated", and has already surfaced on StockX's live bid/ask marketplace.

Following hyped recent releases such as the AJ11 "Concord", AJ1 x SoleFly pack, and AJ3 "Mocha", the new high-tops boast a black upper with white accents and a multi-colored Nike Swoosh — recalling a 1984 "Sports Illustrated" issue for which Michael Jordan took to the cover about to score on three Milwaukee Bucks defenders — paired with the cover line "A Star is Born".

Like Anna Wintour's Vogue x Jordan collab before it, the new sneakers aren't just for Jordan collectors, but are a piece of magazine history, too. Originally retailing for $160, the sneakers are now being resold on StockX with a lowest ask of the same price.
