Ever since Japanese brand Hender Scheme gained popularity among sneaker fans, especially with its "Hommage" collection, which includes handmade premium versions of the Air Jordan IV, adidas Micro Pacer, Nike Air Presto and others, we are seeing the use of vegetable-tanned leather in its natural colors more often in the sneaker market. Next in line to present an iconic sneaker in its collection in that look is ASICS. Today we get a first look at a new premium made in Japan GEL-Lyte III. The natural leather will allow for the upper of the sneaker to age uniquely for each wearer. Unlike the versions that Hender Scheme makes, these come with the regular midsole and outer sole of the ASICS GEL-Lyte III. Look out for a release in the coming months, with a price set at $500.
