Editor’s Notes: Converse has tapped Dr. Woo, tattoo artist to the rich and famous, to design two pairs of Chuck 70s: one white and one black. Both feature spider embroidery throughout, as well as spider web and fly graphics on the toe and tongue of the shoe.

In addition, Dr. Woo will be personally tattooing, autographing, and numbering a hyper-limited run of the leather Chuck 70s at a private even at Maxfield’s in LA. The shoes can be bought there for $1,095 on January 17.

A wider release will follow on January 20.

Of the collaboration, Dr. Woo said: “I wanted something clean and not obvious or expected of me. [I hope people wear them] until they are destroyed.”
