Kanye West’s ‘Sunday Service’ performances have been giving us life these past few months, and it was only a matter of time before another musician got inspired enough by the concept to share their take on it. Enter Jarreau Vandal, the Amsterdam-based producer part of independent music collective Soulection, known for his eclectic DJ sets and bangin’ edits of Rihanna’s “Work” and more recently Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up.”

The latter will appear on his forthcoming Vandalized Edits Vol. 4, along with his “Sunday Service” track, a collaboration with rapper Denzel Curry. Listen to our exclusive premiere of their remix below.

Speaking on how the track came together, Jarreau told Highsnobiety in an email that “I thought I was finished with my DJ edit pack until I woke up on this Monday morning. As I opened my phone scrolling through Instagram I bumped into this video of Kanye West nodding his head wildly with a big choir behind him covering Fred Hammond’s “This Is the Day.” This gave me so much energy I immediately hopped out of bed and sampled the shit out of it. I teased a clip of the beat on Instagram and it blew up. That’s when Denzel Curry reached out and asked me to jump on it.”
