Last month, we reported that Kanye West and Dr. Dre are working on a sequel to Jesus Is King. Now Kanye is finally speaking out about the unexpected thing it took to secure a collab with the legendary producer.
On December 1, Kanye held a Sunday Service at Greater Emmanuel Temple Church in Lynwood, California. Videos of the event that have surfaced online show that Ye took some time out of his performance to reveal why Dre finally gave his stamp of approval.
"Jesus Is King is my first clean album. I used to spend all my time trying to make my beats be mixed as good as Dr. Dre. Who knew all I had to do was do an album for God and then Dr. Dre would start mixing my beats? Spend your time on God, and he'll handle the rest." Watch Kanye West's sermon below.
While here's no word yet on when Jesus Is King Part II will arrive, Kanye did reveal plans to another gospel album on Christmas.
