Cop It, Then Rock It

You’ll have likely seen Kanye West’s controversial choice of footwear at 2 Chainz’s wedding this weekend. In a bold fashion move, West paired an elegant Louis Vuitton-monogrammed neo-mint suit with an ill-fitting pair of YEEZY slides. And while the look has its critics, Ye may have single-handedly heralded in a new era of formal footwear.

In a Versace mansion wedding that boasted a white tiger among its guest list, Kanye came away the headline story — proving in part that ‘beachwear’ to ‘wedding formal’ transitional footwear is a thing. But if YEEZY’s Season 6 mule slides aren’t quite the wedding attire you had in mind, we’ve got ahead of the impending trend followers with a new collaboration we can’t take our eyes off of.

Post Worthy.

Partnering with CONCRETE OBJECTS — a project specializing in neat asymmetric homewares with Jobe Burns and A-COLD-WALL* designer Samuel Ross at its helm — Suicoke‘s latest iteration of its KAW slides are some of the most head-turning we’ve seen in a long time.

In a neutral grey palate, the slides use a multitude of materials, such as rubber, premium cow leather, suede, nylon, steel, and crystal resin. Where the slide really comes into its own is with its dope detailing, featuring visible grip lines on its sole, and the collaborator’s signature CONCRETE OBJECTS logo engraved on the rubber.

Currently available for pre-order with shipping estimated in 3-4 weeks, cop now for some footwear that just added a new level of versatility to its portfolio.
