Rather than dropping his new album, Yandhi, as expected around the same time he was scheduled to perform on Saturday Night Live, the artist formally known as Kanye West instead gave a controversial speech on race, equality, and his intent on running for presidency in 2020. Watch in full below.
Predictably, his uncensored rant provoked wide public response. This time, however, celebrities involved themselves, too, with the likes of Chris Evans and Lana Del Rey standing up to challenge Ye's perceived myopia (short sightedness) and Delusions of Grandeur.

Of course, not everyone was out to scold Ye. The President and his son both took the time to share their thoughts on his performance, with the former noting that while he doesn't watch SNL, Ye was "great."
