Editor’s Notes: Spanish footwear brand Camper likes to think outside the box when it comes to collaborations. In fact, the brand's 'Together' line regularly features the input of leading designers and creatives. After hooking up with the likes of Gosha Rubchinskiy, Camper has now joined forces with Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov to create a line of trekking-inspired footwear. The collaboration includes three shoes — two Derby sneakers (in black and brown colorways) and a pair of boots — each paying homage to Camper's Teik, the brand's iconic trekking silhouette from 1997.
As a designer strongly influenced by workwear and minimalist designs, the move into outdoor-ready footwear for Kostandinov seems like a natural next-step. Each shoe features a chunky, sculpted rubber sole, along with a hiking-inspired silhouette and water-resistant GORE-TEX® materials. What's more, the shoelaces can be tightened without having to tie them, thanks to their drawstring closure. Recently, the all-black Derby sneakers have even been spotted on Brain Dead's founder Kyle Ng.
After teasing the collab back in June, the Kiko Kostadinov x Camper line is available to buy right now, with the Derby sneakers retailing for $285 and the boots going for $340. For those of you who can't wait to cop the recently announced Kiko Kostadinov's ASICS Gel-Burz 2s, a pair of these should tide you over until then.
