Editor’s Notes: Nike has confirmed its latest collaboration with Amsterdam-based artist Piet Parra, the creative mind behind some of the most iconic Air Max 1 designs during the silhouette’s heyday in the mid-to-late ’00s. Now, eight years after his last Nike collaboration, we’re finally getting a brand new Parra x Nike design.

According to the Swoosh, fans can expect three drops from the artist, a reimagined Air Max 1, Zoom Spiridon, and a tracksuit. All three items feature Parra’s multicolored and multi-pattern designs. A friends-and-family version of the Air Max 1 is also part of the pack but — as the name suggests — won’t be available to the general public.

“In some weird way, I feel freer now than earlier in my career,” said Parra in Nike’s announcement of the collab.

The design stays true to the artist’s fun style, opting for a mix of stripes, polka dots, and graphics to create a patchwork-like upper. Both shoes carry a blue Swoosh alongside pink, blue, orange, and white accents across the upper and midsole. The friends-and-family version removes the Swoosh.

In addition to the sneakers, Parra’s bright aesthetic will also be featured on the matching track jacket.

All three items in the Parra x Nike pack will launch on July 21 at Nike.
