Inspired by the term "GORE-TEX," famed sneaker boutique Packer Shoes has teamed with ASICS as well as New Era to debut the "Scary Cold" collection, a tribute to GORE-TEX's superb insulation, as well as one of the most infamous winter coats in history.
The collection features a pair of ASICS GEL-Lyte Vs draped in supple black premium leather on both the toe box area and heel, while the midsection of the shoe offers a clean rusty tan suede. In addition to the shoe's GORE-TEX lining, Packer has also elected to include rugged cold weather features like the boot-inspired metal d-ring eyelets and a layer of ballistic mesh. Additionally, the "Scary Cold" collection will also see Packer teaming with New Era for a set of two caps, with featuring the GORE-TEX logo in gold, and another featuring the New York Yankees logo with GORE-TEX branding on the side.
The ASICS GEL-Lyte Vs will retail for $170 USD, while the caps will debut for $60 USD each. The full "Scary Cold" collection will debut at Packer in-store and online January 28.
