Menswear brand s.k. manor hill’s previous summer collection came with the knowledge that it was inspired by the ease and comfort of international travel in the 21st century. It is also inherent in the brand itself, as it relies on globally sourced fabrics despite heading operations in New York. This has rarely been as clearly felt as it is in the brand’s SS17 collection, displayed intimately in a just-released lookbook.
For this collection, s.k. manor hill culled fabrics from Japan and Italy to bring the season’s offerings to life. Pieces like the tank-top and Moroccan-style overshirt created with light, breathable cotton immediately evoke some of last summer’s explorations, but this collection’s spotlight belongs to the ornate green and gold print. This rich pattern appears on baggy pants, house coats, scarves and (in what may be the line’s most eye-catching piece) an enveloping rain-hoodie.
The collection is rounded out with offerings as diverse as creamy beige suits, oversized sweats and high-waisted shorts.
Look out for the s.k. manor hill SS17 collection to appear on the brand’s online store.
