London label Tourne De Transmission has linked with River Island for a new collaborative project under the fast fashion retailer's River Island Design Forum imprint. The duo looked to Japan for inspiration, via boro-style patchwork fabrics and kimono silhouettes, while a smattering of D-rings and a muted color palette add a contemporary touch to proceedings.

As is normally the case with fast fashion vs. high-end projects, the collection offers refined styles at a price that won't break the bank. Jackets cost around £65 ($79) while tees and hoodies go for £25-£35 (around $30-42).
