The Trump campaign team is using the support of Kanye West to help sell President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hats.

Julie Bykowicz of The Wall Street Journal and Amanda Hess of The New York Times shared screenshots of texts sent out to Trump campaign supporters on Thursday which used West’s support of Trump as a fundraising tactic.

“Groupthink is a mandate in today’s society and when a free thinker like Kanye West speaks truth, they attack him,” the text reads. “We support Kanye speaking his mind, even if sometimes we do not agree on the issues.”

The text finishes with a call to action: “Do not let them silence you. Get your red MAGA hat today,” it reads.

The official twitter account of the Republican party also used West’s support to sell hats, quote tweeting the rapper’s image of his signed “Make America Great Again” hat, alongside a link with where to buy.

Now, read why Kanye West’s support of Donald Trump makes absolute, beautiful, perfect, fantastic sense.
