The first part of Vetements' Spring/Summer 2016 collection just landed at concept retailer Dover Street Market. Under the direction of Georgian designer Demna Gvasalia, who was recently appointed Creative Director of Balenciaga, Vetements has become one of the most talked about fashion labels in the current landscape, with several pieces from previous seasons instantly reaching grail status.
This season brings back casual pieces characterized by oversized fits, with hoodies and referential graphics once again playing a strong role among the offerings. Several pieces include a flip on the logo of vintage sportswear brand Champion, while other eclectic allusions are also made to 1997's Titanic and German mail service DHL.
