OFF-WHITE founder Virgil Abloh was recently appointed the creative director of menswear at Louis Vuitton. While his new position stirred up numerous online conversations, many were, for the most part, eager to see what the former architect would bring to the role.

Well, thanks to Louis Vuitton’s Instagram stories, we now have some insight as to what went down on his first day. As seen below, the video follows Abloh entering the LV offices, working with samples, sketches, and prints bearing the infamous monogram of course, with a few blurred out product shots for obvious reasons.

As he gathers his team, the designer discusses his vision for the forthcoming collection and what he hopes to bring to the luxury house. One of the videos hears Abloh proclaiming that, “The biggest goal is to start so people can understand the new vocabulary,” before saying, “I wanna introduce a hardware that’s native to the garment;” An approach loyal followers are all too familiar with.

For a brief look at what happened during Virgil Abloh’s first day, peep the embedded video above.
