It is almost safe to assume that no other car would be fitting of the legacy of Sir James Paul McCartney, apart from this very rare 1964 Aston Martin DB5. Having been praised for its role as James Bond’s car of choice, vintage Aston Martins such as the one pictured above have cemented themselves as some of the automobile industry’s most sought-after prizes.

Scheduled to go up for auction at Bonhams as early as December 2 in London, the car is estimated to fetch anywhere between $1.6 and $2 million USD. Despite the eye-watering price and having changed hands a few times since original ownership, Sir Paul’s Aston Martin has been kept in tip-top condition and flaunts, amongst other details, a Philips Auto-Mignon automotive record player, an upgraded 4.2 liter engine, and a truly luxurious interior (said to bear hidden musical notes throughout).

Enjoy a look at this stunning piece of design and let us know if yourself, or anyone you know will be bidding on this once-in-a-lifetime purchase.

And for those who missed out on yesterday’s announcement, here are the raffle details for the forthcoming Chanel x Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu sneakers.
