Earlier this week, Kanye West announced that he fired a YEEZY employee for trying to take credit for work that was not their own. Now, the rapper turned-prolific-designer has tweeted about his new hybrid YEEZY silhouette, which he has previously been seen wearing while out in LA. In the tweet, Kanye confirms that this is the YEEZY Boost 700 V2.

As previously reported by Highsnobiety, the sneaker above features the YEEZY Boost 700 “Wave Runner” sole unit and an updated, mesh-covered upper that continues in the vein of retro performance-wear.

While no design cues were taken directly from the YEEZY 500, the mesh upper of the YEEZY 700 V2 is done up in the same ‘Blush’ colorway we saw on the 500 that released on April 14.
