Last night, Toronto welcomed the all-new Nike Special Field Air Force 1.

Held at Toronto sneaker boutique Capsule, the launch event was a continuation of the sneaker’s overarching military theme, featuring various build-outs reflecting the new shoe’s utilitarian qualities. Attendees could also add custom painted details to a pair of the classic white Air Force 1 low-top, courtesy of artist @rcade_signs.

While the focus of the night was the new SF AF1, the event also paid tribute to the shoe’s history, with a wide range of literature on display, in addition to past Air Force 1 models, nicely adding context to the latest military-inspired version.

Watch for the Nike Special Field Air Force 1 to release this Saturday, November 5 from Nike, for a price of $200.
