Following a teaser, A$AP Nast now officially unveils his new collaboration with Converse. Nast is an avid collector of mid-century modern furniture, which serves as the inspiration for the footwear and apparel assortment, incorporating materials of various textures, patterns and understated shades, all a nod to the artist’s favorite period of design history.

“Being born and raised in Harlem, I’m excited to drop my [first] design collaboration in my city. Fashion has always been a priority whether expressed through my style or rap– I am telling a story,” says Nast. “As a young creative, Converse gave me the opportunity to share my vision, passion, and personal inspiration of a timeless era through the collection.”

The ever-popular One Star and the Chuck Taylor All Star 70 highlight the capsule, accompanied by a custom Converse T-shirt. The One Star boasts a soft-hued corduroy upper in Arrowhead, in addition to fuzzy laces and a deep Red Dahlia leather star. The Chucks then welcome a plaid outer with two interchangeable fuzzy laces in Egret and Greener Pastures. Both sneakers note the phrase “SOMEWHERE IN MID-CENTURY” on the sidewalls, with the same tagging being showcased on T-shirts in Cream, Cardinal and Dark Chocolate.

You can look forward to A$AP Nast’s Converse collaboration arriving exclusively at the Foot Locker flagship in Times Square on September 28 at 5 p.m. EST.
