Today Converse officially debuts its new cold weather collection of utility footwear designed with technical materials for protection during the winter months. The standout from the assortment is the Chuck Taylor MC18, which draws inspiration from the Extreme Cold Weather Boot, a military rubber boot produced by Converse in the 1950s.
In addition to the MC18, which is optioned in Carbon Grey, Birch Bark, and Black colorways with hiking-inspired laces, Converse re-introduces the Bosey silhouette. Available in the Bosey MC and Chuck 70 Bosey models, the shoes feature a rugged toe guard that has been reimagined to offer enhanced traction and protection. The Bosey MC is crafted from water-repellent canvas, while the Chuck 70 Bosey boasts a water-repellent suede upper.
The Chuck Taylor All Star (CTAS) Lugged Winter is also featured in Converse's new cold weather collection. It has a GORE-TEX inner bootie, soft fleece lining, and a lugged outsole. The sneaker is available in various technical materials, including waterproof ballistic nylon.
Alongside the MC18, Bosey, and Lugged Winter, Converse presents seasonal versions of multiple heritage styles featuring GORE-TEX and other protective applications. The collection also includes an apparel capsule.
The Chuck Taylor MC18, Chuck 70 Bosey, Bosey MC, and Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged Winter are priced from $80 to $140. You can find the Chuck 70 Bosey and CTAS Lugged Winter available now, while the Chuck Taylor MC18 and Bosey MC release globally in early November.
