The Converse One Star is indisputably a sneaker classic with roots in both street and sport culture. Originally released back in 1974, the silhouette has endured to this day and is still as fashionable as ever. Now, Converse is taking the model for a new spin through channeling pro skateboarder Sage Elsesser's design direction, for a new modern take in both navy and white colorways.

“I wanted to keep the shoe’s vintage aesthetic,” says Elsesser. “I like the way the One Star looks on my feet, plus navy blue and white are good colors that can be worn easily.”

The resulting product is an extremely clean upgraded One Star with premium suede and leather uppers as well gold foil rose detailing on the tongue.

The Converse Cons One Star CC Pro x Sage Elsesser will be available February 10 on Converse's official site as well as select Converse retail stockists.
