Nike’s connection with the university runs deep, with founders Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman having a history with the institution as a student and track coach respectively. For that reason, over the years the Swoosh has supplied the school’s athletes with insanely rare player exclusives rendered in the university’s colors.
The shoes given to Oregon athletes and coaches usually aren’t released to the public, although the odd pair makes it onto the resell market, and even onto the feet of pros such as P.J. Tucker.
The first Air Jordan 6 Oregon PE features a white leather upper with black and slime green detailing along the heel, tongue, and midsole. A perforated Oregon logo on the side and an embroidered Oregon Ducks wings logo on the heel complete the look. The second colorway swaps out white for black nubuck, keeping the green detailing and Oregon branding the same.
